Spencer man sentenced for being married to 2 women at once

TYNDALL, S.D. (AP) - A Spencer man who was married to two women at the same time has been sentenced on a bigamy charge.

The Daily Republic newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/1WDPmxI ) that 37-year-old Omar Terry was recently ordered to spend about four months in jail. He’ll be on probation for two years after that.

Authorities say Terry married a woman in Tyndall in September 2008, when he was already married to another woman. He pleaded guilty to the felony charge earlier this month.
