SHERIDAN, Ark. (AP) - Officials say vandals have destroyed dozens of headstones, with some dating back to the Civil War, at a cemetery in Grant County.

Orion Cemetery historian Vicky Graves says more than 100 gravesites were vandalized late Monday night. Vandals turned over tombstones and destroyed vases and floral arrangements.

Little Rock television station KTHV reports (https://bit.ly/1OHA4pn ) that two other cemeteries in Arkansas have been vandalized this month as well.

Graves says a community cleanup event is planned for Thursday at the cemetery.
