17-year-old shot in chest in White Center

WHITE CENTER, Wash. (AP) - A 17-year-old boy is recovering after he was shot in the chest outside a White Center mini-mart.

KIRO-FM reports (https://bit.ly/1Rb39Uv ) that King County sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene early Thursday and found the teen lying unconscious in the parking lot of a Rainbow Mart. The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to the hospital.

It is unclear if anyone was taken into custody in connection to the shooting, but a search for possible suspects has been called off.
