OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say two Ocean Springs High School male students face charges of sexually assaulting a female student.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a press release received by The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1TlzlXH) deputies became involved after the student reported to a teacher she had been assaulted May 4 in a school bathroom,

Ezell said both of the accused students were expelled for the rest of the school year.

The sheriff says the accused students are both under 18. One was arrested May 11, and his case is being handled through Jackson County Youth Court. The other student has not yet been arrested and will have his case heard by a grand jury.

Ezell did not identify the students.
