An inmate who escaped from the Monroe County Jail has been captured in Lee County and a man who walked away from a work detail in Jones County has surrendered to authorities.

The Daily Journal (https://bit.ly/1TJUOZK ) reports 58-year-old Chris Cosner escaped Thursday and was captured about 5:30 p.m. in Lee County.

Cosner was convicted in March 2015 for robbery of a Saltillo bank.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department tells WDAM-TV (https://bit.ly/1TJUPNq ) that Ellis Lee Ishee is back in custody after he walked off a work detail May 8.
