CANTERBURY, Conn. (AP) - Fire officials say two people were injured in a blaze that broke out at Wrights Mill Farm, a popular wedding venue for couples in Connecticut.

Fire crews were dispatched to the farm on Creasey Road in Canterbury around 7 p.m. Wednesday. After firefighters realized the extent of the blaze, mutual aid was called in from fire companies in surrounding towns.

A Facebook post by Wrights Mill Farm says the flames damaged its kitchen and the Lodge. The fire was knocked down around 9 p.m.

Officials say two people were hospitalized but the extent of their injuries wasn’t immediately known. One of the victims was an employee of the farm.

Farm owners say they will contact customers who have scheduled upcoming events at Wrights Mill within the next several days.
