LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) - Officials say a 44-year-old Massachusetts woman was killed after she was ejected when her vehicle came into contact with a pickup truck on Interstate 495 in Lawrence.

State police say Sheila Purpora was pronounced dead Wednesday at the accident scene near I-495 exit 42 B.

Purpora’s Toyota Scion and a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by an unidentified 65-year-old Amesbury man both rolled over after the collision occurred around 7 a.m.

The man was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Lawrence General Hospital. State police say no charges have been filed against him at this time.

Two lanes were closed as the damaged vehicles were removed from the roadway, causing significant traffic delays during the morning commute.

State police collision analysts are investigating the crash.
