LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say a woman hit by a vehicle near the Las Vegas Strip was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Las Vegas police say the crash happened about 5:15 a.m. Thursday on Flaming Road at Koval Lane, a block east of Las Vegas Boulevard.

The woman was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.



The driver in the vehicle is suspected of DUI and was taken into custody to the Clark County jail.

Flamingo Road between Linq Lane and Howard Hughes Parkway remains closed as of 9 a.m.
