ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Liberals love their protests and creating mayhem in order to get their point of view across. That’s why the Democratic National Convention in July is going to be so much fun.

According to The Wall Street Journal, at least five of the nine permit applications to hold demonstrations during the Philadelphia Democratic Convention have been filed by supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernard Sanders. The groups planning the protests are The Berners, Black Men for Bernie, Movement for Bernie and Bernie or Bust, according to the Journal.

I guess you reap what you sow.

Not one Republican candidate’s supporters have filed protest applications with the Cleveland city government, where the Republican National Convention will be held, though six permit applications have been received, according to the Journal. Most likely they’re from the same professional, liberal agitators that have been following Donald Trump around.

Not surprisingly, no applications have been filed on behalf of supporters for Hillary Clinton with the Philadelphia city government, the Journal reports. Her base is just not that passionate.

Mr. Sanders’ supporters have gumption, that’s for sure, and they’re determined not to let Mrs. Clinton have her moment in the sun. By July, Mrs. Clinton will have locked up the Democratic presidential nomination.

“I really wouldn’t call it a protest. It’s a political revolution,” Bill Taylor, a 30-year-old Philadelphia resident and Mr. Sanders supporter, told the Journal about the organized demonstrations planned for the DNC convention. “There is no stopping the movement that Bernie has created. This isn’t about one man.”

Mrs. Clinton and the Democratic Party must be thrilled.
