NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (AP) - Authorities say a sport utility vehicle slammed into a private beach and tennis club in Narragansett.

WJAR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Thrv6B ) the SUV hit the Dunes Club on Wednesday evening and scattered items across the front room of the building. Police say the four people inside the vehicle weren’t injured.

Erik Sterling lives at the club with his parents and says they were having dinner in another room and heard a loud bang when the SUV hit the building.

The building sustained significant structural and water damage from the crash.

The crash is under investigation. Investigators say drinking doesn’t appear to have been an issue.
