TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - A Tacoma woman is being jailed on $500,000 bail for allegations that she shot her ex-husband after confronting him and his girlfriend.
The News Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1suMt5U ) that 42-year-old Amy Yasuko Taylor appeared in court Monday for first-degree assault.
Prosecutors say 29-year-old Brian Douglas Widland Jr. was arraigned Thursday on an assault charge in the incident and that he’s also in jail on $500,000 bail. Documents say he is the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s girlfriend.
Court documents say Taylor and Widland went to a Parkland home May 12 where her ex-husband and his girlfriend had been. They came outside and shots were fired.
A neighbor tended to the victim, who had been shot in back of the head, until paramedics arrived. He remains unconscious.
Taylor allegedly told sheriff’s deputies she had been present during a shooting in Parkland but didn’t know anything about the incident.
