SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a wildfire has burned about 1,500 acres of grass and trees at a National Guard post on California’s Central Coast.

Cal Fire Capt. Nick Stitzel says the blaze on the grounds of Camp Roberts in northern San Luis Obispo County is 70 percent contained Thursday.

No structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported from the fire that broke out Wednesday.

The cause is under investigation.

Officials say a planned prescribed burn in neighboring Monterey County was canceled Wednesday so crews could concentrate on the Camp Roberts fire.
