MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Wildlife officials say they think a mountain lion is to blame after a large dog was attacked and killed in Mesa.

CBS 5 (KPHO-TV) reports (https://bit.ly/1U2vzld ) that officials with Arizona Game and Fish say it is believed a mountain lion scaled a homeowner’s wall on Thursday before killing their large Dalmatian.

Game and Fish can’t confirm it was a mountain lion because they couldn’t find any prints and don’t have any pictures of the animal, but because of the way the dog was consumed they can rule out other animals such as coyotes.
