SURREY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say two people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a body in rural mid-Michigan.

The Saginaw News and Morning Sun report the body was found Sunday buried in a yard in Clare County’s Surrey Township. A 31-year-old woman and 34-year-old man from Farwell have been jailed and prosecutors are reviewing possible charges.

Sheriff’s officials haven’t identified the victim but are investigating whether there is a connection to a recent report of a missing man. They also are awaiting results of an autopsy.
