PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a man has died from injuries in a Philadelphia crash that earlier killed a child and sent seven other people - three of them children - to hospitals.
Authorities said a northbound car went out of control in rainy weather and collided with an oncoming car shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday.
Capt. John Wilczynski (Wihl-ZIN’-Skee) said 20-year-old Zaire Ross-Wilson and six-year-old Eric Barksdale Perez died. Two women were critically injured and a seven-week-old girl was listed in critical but stable condition. A 4-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy were hospitalized. A 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman in the other car were treated.
Police said weather conditions played a major role in the crash but speed and alcohol aren’t believed to have been factors.
