BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Prosecutors say the driver of a truck that hit and killed an elderly woman in Boulder will be cited with careless driving.

The Daily Camera reports (https://goo.gl/T5Eity ) 84-year-old Helen Greschler, of Boulder, was hit as she crossed Canyon Boulevard on the afternoon of April 21. She died at a hospital.

Careless driving carries a penalty of up to a year in jail. The name of the 30-year-old man who hit Greschler has not been released.
