Man gunned down in car in Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a shooting which left a man dead in Newark.

Officials say police found 42-year-old George Allen III on Montclair shot in a car on Van Ness Place on Sunday afternoon. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

There is no word on a suspect.
