OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - A municipal court judge has announced that he’s running against incumbent state Supreme Court Justice Charles Wiggins.
In his announcement Monday, Federal Way Municipal Judge Dave Larson said that he is running because he believes the high court has become too political.
Larson has served two terms on the municipal court and previously was a trial lawyer. Wiggins was elected to the Supreme Court in 2010 and is seeking a second term. Chief Justice Barbara Madsen and Justice Mary Yu are also up for re-election in November.
