WINDHAM, Maine (AP) - The Department of Corrections says a prisoner has died at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham.

Officials say 36-year-old Wayne Patrick King of Lewiston died late Sunday morning. No details were released.

Maine State Police and the state medical examiner are reviewing the death.

King led police on a high-speed chase in September 2014. Jody Breton, deputy corrections commissioner, said Monday that King had served about half of his 34-month sentence for eluding an officer and other charges.
