BALTIMORE (AP) - Police officials are identifying three SWAT team members on routine administrative leave after the shooting of a man who walked into a Baltimore TV station wearing an animal costume and a fake bomb.

Police identified the officers in a statement Monday as Sgt. Frederick Gilbart Jr., a 29-year veteran; Officer Robert Taylor, a 23-year veteran; and Officer Brian Loiero, a six-year veteran.

Last week, police charged 25-year-old Alex Brizzi with arson, malicious burning, threat of arson, reckless endangerment and possessing a phony destructive device.

Police say Brizzi walked into WBFF-TV Thursday wearing a hedgehog suit over a life preserver disguised to look like an explosive vest. Police shot him, but he is expected to survive.

Police say Brizzi wanted the station to broadcast recorded rants about the end of the world.
