Police: Man found dead in ditch was hit-and-run victim

ARMADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old man found dead in a ditch north of Detroit was a hit-and-run victim.

Michigan State Police said Monday the driver of a car that hit Jacob Brand in northern Macomb County’s Armada Township “refused to stop.” Brand’s body was found Saturday morning.

The Macomb County Medical Examiner identified Brand, who lived in St. Clair County’s Kimball Township.

Police are asking the public for help in finding the driver and vehicle.
