LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a 16-year-old will be prosecuted as an adult on murder, robbery and conspiracy charges in the stabbing death of a 27-year-old man at a fast-food restaurant two weeks ago.

Las Vegas police said Monday the teen has been moved from juvenile hall to the Clark County jail to await a court date in the April 17 slaying of Clinton Englehart.

The Associated Press isn’t identifying him ahead of court proceedings, due to his age.

Englehart was mortally wounded in a scuffle at the business across the street from Desert Breeze Park, where police say his assailants fled and police found a knife believed to have been used in the attack.

The Clark County coroner says Englehart died of a stab wound to the chest.
