SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - A Scottsdale man is facing a felony child abuse charge after allegedly leaving his baby boy in a car for nearly an hour while he was gambling at a casino.

Police say 39-year-old Daniel M. Armaz was arrested Friday night.

They say Armaz left his 15-month-old son unattended in the back seat of his vehicle for 57 minutes while he was gambling inside the Talking Stick Resort casino.

Armaz was put on supervised release after his initial court appearance Monday.

He doesn’t have an attorney yet.

Armaz is scheduled to appear at a May 13 status conference.
