HEBER CITY, Utah (AP) - Authorities say two people injured after their gyrocopter crashed into a northern Utah creek are being treated at a hospital.

Wasatch County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jared Rigby says a male and female who were aboard had hypothermia when rescuers reached them mid-day Friday. Rigby says the female also has a broken leg and a back injury.

Rigby did not have details about what caused the crash near crash into a creek near Strawberry Reservoir or the identities of the two people. He says they were flying out of Colorado toward the Utah city of Spanish Fork.

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
