WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Police detained two reporters who were covering a protest over the fatal police shooting of a black musician last year.

The Palm Beach Post (https://pbpo.st/1U5FeaI) said on its website that its reporter, George Bennett, and another unidentified journalist were stopped by West Palm Beach officers Friday afternoon while covering the Anonymous Florida protest. The Post says the reporters and four protesters were detained after crossing railroad tracks.

Post Managing Editor Nick Moschella said Bennett was taken to the police station and released. West Palm Beach police didn’t return a call seeking comment.

About 10 protesters were marching against local prosecutor Dave Aronberg’s decision to have a grand jury decide if former Palm Beach Gardens officer Nouman Raja is charged with October’s shooting of 31-year-old Corey Jones.

Raja is of South Asian descent.
