DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - Dothan police have arrested a 19-year-old and charged him with the rape and sodomy of a girl who police say is the victim of another crime.

Dothan Police Capt. Will Benny tells the Dothan Eagle (https://bit.ly/1W5zR1E) that Dantrell Javon Johnson was recently arrested and charged with felony first-degree rape, felony second-degree rape and felony second-degree sodomy. Records show the victim was over the age of 12 and under the age of 16.

Benny says police also charged Dantrell Johnson’s relative, James Morris Johnson Jr., with the rape of the same girl.

In a different case, James Morris Johnson Jr. is also charged with murder in connection with the March 3 shooting death of 36-year-old Tenisha Norton at her Dothan home.

It’s unclear if either suspect has an attorney.
