An Oklahoma man who served prison time for threatening Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid has since set his sights on frequent Fox News contributor Catherine “Katie” Pavlich, court documents show.

The Smoking Gun website published Thursday excerpts from an FBI affidavit that connects Ms. Pavlich, an editor at Townhall.com, with Charles Moreland, a 33-year-old Tulsa resident who pleaded guilty last year to sending threatening emails to Mr. Reid, Nevada Democrat.

Moreland pleaded in January 2015 in connection with the threats against Mr. Reid and was sentenced to one month in jail and five months of home detention. By May of last year, however, authorities said Moreland was back to his old ways, this time directing his threats towards Ms. Pavlich.

Between May 2015 and October 2015, investigators say Moreland sent Ms. Pavlich in excess of 250 emails from a variety of accounts that left her “in reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury,” the Smoking Gun reported.

The emails stopped when Moreland was arrested in November and charged with violating the terms of his parole, only to start up again within days of him being released from incarceration last month.

“I’m not going to bother you or your brother!! I am leaving the country!! Sorry… Good Luck,” Moreland allegedly wrote Ms. Pavlich in an email early last month.

The FBI is in possession of cellphones and computers owned by Moreland and are scouring them for emails to Ms. Pavlich, as well as communications “related to the purchase or procurement of weapons” or “organizing or directing other parties to plan or commit acts of violence,” Smoking Gun reported.

Ms. Pavlich declined to comment to Smoking Gun when questioned about the the probe.
