BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A network of new signs is going up in western New York to let people know when they’ve entered the Great Lakes Watershed.
The signs are being unveiled Friday by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and New York state Department of Environmental Protection.
The educational signs will be installed along major highways throughout the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario basins.
The Great Lakes - which also include Lakes Superior, Huron and Michigan - make up the largest body of fresh water on earth.
