DETROIT (AP) - Police say two suspected hand grenades were found in a yard in Detroit.

Officer Nicole Kirkwood tells The Detroit News that the devices were found behind a home. She says the police department’s bomb squad responded Thursday night and removed the devices. Authorities didn’t immediately determine whether they were live grenades.

No one was injured.

WXYZ-TV reports the discovery was made as two children were mowing the lawn. A home was evacuated as police responded.
