SEA CLIFF, N.Y. (AP) - Police say they’ve arrested a child care worker accused of dragging a disabled girl she was caring for across the floor of a Long Island social service agency.

Nassau County police say Reneisha Goodridge was arrested Friday on a charge of endangering the welfare of a disabled person.

They say the 27-year-old was working at the SCO Family of Services facility in Sea Cliff on Sunday when she got into an argument with a 17-year-old girl under her care. They say Goodridge pushed the girl before grabbing her by the arm and dragging her across the floor.

Police said the victim had a bruised eye, scratches on her neck and a swollen lip.

A spokeswoman for the care agency said Goodridge has been fired. It wasn’t immediately clear if she had an attorney who could comment.
