POMONA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have rescued a woman who spent five hours trapped in the chimney of her Pomona home.

Police tell City News Service that the woman locked herself out and decided to use the chimney to get inside the home.

Firefighters were called to the home on Carlton Avenue shortly after noon Friday by a neighbor who heard the woman yelling for help.

They took the chimney apart and took the woman to a hospital. She was dehydrated but had only minor injuries.
