SILVERDALE, Wash. (AP) - Two young boys were injured Tuesday after falling out a third-floor apartment window in Silverdale.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Wilson tells the Kitsap Sun (https://goo.gl/xejGdL ) that the boys, ages 1 and 3, were conscious and breathing when they were flown to a Seattle hospital. He says it happened after 1 p.m.

The boys fell out of a bedroom window and landed on landscaping bark below. Their mother was in the apartment at the time.

The children’s conditions were not immediately available.

Detectives are investigating how the children fell.
