CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say four teenagers embarked on a violent robbery spree in Camden that ended with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man who had gone out to buy cigarettes.

Camden County prosecutors say Aaron Swann and Ashan Thomas, both 19-year-old Pennsauken residents, and 18-year-old Camden resident Raquan Handon were arraigned Tuesday on murder and other charges in the May 18 death of Terron Phillips.

Bail for each defendant was set at $2 million.

A 16-year-old Merchantville boy who allegedly shot the 19-year-old Phillips is charged with felony murder.

All four defendants are also charged in two other robberies that occurred the night Phillips was killed. Shots were fired during all three robberies, which occurred during a two-hour span.

Swann’s lawyer says his client’s alleged involvement “leaves your head scratching.” Thomas and Handon have not yet retained lawyers.
