AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Austin police say they are investigating 13 incidents over the weekend of someone intentionally throwing rocks at vehicles on Interstate 35, injuring five people.

The Austin American-Statesman (https://atxne.ws/1XtLBtV ) says the incidents reported Friday through Sunday are the largest such spree since June 2014.

Police are now investigating a total of 83 rock-throwing cases. Authorities haven’t identified any suspects or made any arrests.

Investigators didn’t detail the injuries other than saying that one of the victims had glass in an eye but that it was not a severe injury.

Police say if people become victims of rock throwing, they should pull over safely, call 911 and not touch the area of impact or the rock. Police say knowing the time and location of the incident is critical to investigators.
