LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) - The attorney general’s homicide unit has been called to a home where there was an hours-long standoff in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Police were mum on details Tuesday after residents were evacuated from the area and law enforcement tactical teams took up positions.

WMUR-TV reports that police eventually began to scale back their presence and that neighbors saw an ambulance leave the scene.

Students in some Londonderry schools were kept inside buildings Tuesday because of the police activity in the area.
