NEW SALEM, Pa. (AP) - State police and the coroner are investigating a suspicious death after someone called 911 to report a potential home invasion in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip Reilly hasn’t released the name of the man found dead at a home in Searights, a tiny village in Menallen Township.

Authorities found the body after someone called 911 about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials from the district attorney’s office remained on the scene hours later.
