YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) - The National Park Service has released the name of the Texas woman who died last week in Yellowstone National Park when she was hit by a vehicle.

The agency identified the woman as 47-year-old Wendy Larrabee.

Larrabee was struck and killed on the West Entrance Road, about 2 miles inside the park, shortly before 8 a.m. on May 18.

The Park Service says Larrabee was traveling with friends and apparently was crossing the road to look at an eagle when she was hit by a vehicle coming out of the park.

The Park Service did not provide Larrabee’s hometown in Texas.
