CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say two Border Patrol detainees are back in custody after escaping from a contractor’s bus in Casa Grande in south-central Arizona and the search continues for the third escapee.

The Border Patrol says the three men escaped from a transport vehicle about 10 p.m. Tuesday, but one was recaptured early Wednesday.

The agency says the three escaped through a ceiling hatch while the bus was stopped at a traffic light.

The detainees were being transported from Ajo to a Border Patrol station in Casa Grande.

Police say 25-year-old Augusto Daniel Chavez-Sosa was located in Casa Grande about 2 p.m. Wednesday and turned over to the custody of the Border Patrol.

Authorities still are searching for 22-year-old Heriberto Castellanos-Uribe, a Mexican national who was arrested on suspicion of drug smuggling.
