SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward as Sparks police investigate an attempted robbery and kidnapping at a strip mall on Sparks Boulevard.
Police say the female victim was walking home shortly after 10:20 p.m. Tuesday when man she vaguely recognized pulled into the parking lot on the southwest corner of Sparks Boulevard and Prater Way.
She says when she approached the blue or green vehicle, the man slid over to the passenger window and tried to grab her purse and a shopping bag. She says he also attempted to order her into the truck before a struggle ensued and she got away.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s with a beard and unkempt hair.
