BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say two North Bennington daycare workers are facing charges of cruelty to a child and reckless endangerment.
Debi Miller of Bennington, the daycare manager, and Kristie Clough of Eagle Bridge, New York are accused of delaying the medical care of a 1-year-old child at Dooda’s Daycare. It was not immediately known if they are being represented by attorneys.
Authorities say on May 13 the child was dropped off and was not alert and allowed to nap. Police say Miller and Clough found the child to not be responsive but allowed a considerable time to lapse before calling the parent or 911.
The child required intubation and was flown by helicopter to the Albany medical center. Police say the child was eventually discharged with a positive prognosis.
