PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona authorities say a Bullhead City woman has been arrested for food stamp and medical benefits fraud.
Heidi Rinehart is accused of falsifying her residency on her food stamp and AHCCCS applications.
The Department of Economic Security says Rinehart claimed to have lived in Kingman and Bullhead City from December 2012 through June 2014 but actually was in Laughlin, Nevada.
The DES Office of Inspector General says Rinehart was indicted in November on counts of fraudulent schemes and artifices, theft, application fraud and unlawful use of food stamps.
They say the DES was defrauded out of nearly $40,000 in the case.
Rinehart was scheduled to be arraigned in January but failed to appear and an arrest warrant was issued.
She was arrested last month in Nevada and extradited to Arizona.
