HOLLAND, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a driver fleeing from police has died after crashing his SUV in western Michigan.

Holland police say Jeremy Hudson was speeding and had disregarded a stop sign after leaving an apartment complex Tuesday night. Police say an officer tried to stop the 33-year-old, but the SUV slowed before speeding up. He ran a red light and collided with two vehicles.

Hudson died at the scene. The other two drivers and two passengers were injured, but their conditions were described as good.
