LANSDALE, Pa. (AP) - Students have returned to class one day after a fire forced the evacuation of a suburban Philadelphia high school.
North Penn High School in Lansdale reopened Wednesday after crews spent the previous day clearing the building of smoke. Authorities say the fire broke out in the school around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and more than 3,000 students were quickly evacuated.
Crews contained the fire to three rooms on the ground floor. Students were dismissed and were able to retrieve their personal belongings when they returned to class Wednesday.
No injuries were reported. It’s unclear what sparked the blaze.
