ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo says a new task force will analyze the State Fairgrounds in Onondaga County to determine if there would be an economic benefit to privatizing the fairgrounds, either partially or in full.

The State Fairgrounds Privatization Task Force is part of a $50 million initiative to transform the fairgrounds. Included in the $50 million plan was a 315-site RV park and 15 acres of flexible park space, along with new attractions, rest stations, and cell-phone charging stations.

The task force announced Wednesday includes state and local officials, including the New York State Agriculture Commissioner and the Commissioner of the Office of General Services. It is expected to deliver a report to Cuomo by December.
