LINDEN, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a motorist hit two police vehicles in the Linden Police Department’s parking lot before he tried to pepper spray a police officer.

Police say the SUV entered the lot from the exit and rammed a police supervisor’s vehicle before hitting another patrol car on Tuesday night.

Police say the driver used pepper spray on officers, who sprayed him before subduing him and taking him to a hospital for a medical evaluation.

The man’s name has not been released.

No officers were injured.
