A camper in Botswana filmed three lionesses licking rainwater off her tent while she was still inside in a now-viral video.
Francie Lubbe was camping at the Khiding campsite in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park on May 9 when she recorded the thirsty lionesses. The animals didn’t appear to notice that Ms. Lubbe was recording them only inches away on the other side of the tent’s clear wall.
“What a privilege,” Ms. Lubbe wrote on Facebook, where she posted the video Monday. She noted that the door of her tent “was open” but that the lions “decided not to enter,” USA Today reported.
“We tried to be very quiet [so as] not to disturb them,” Ms. Lubbe noted. “Yes it was very special.”
