Hattiesburg to auction surplus vehicle, equipment

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Several surplus vehicles and equipment items owned by the city of Hattiesburg will soon be up for auction.

The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/1OMN7jV) city council members recently approved Jeff Martin Auctioneers to list the items, which include a 1993 GMC Jimmy, a 1997 Ford dump truck, a couple truck service bodies and a 2006 Sullair 185 air compressor, among other items.

Councilman Carter Carroll said the items will be sold in an Early Fall Public Auction on Aug. 5 and 6.

Carroll says officials don’t know what kind of monetary value to expect from the items.
