LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - Authorities in southwest Washington have found the remains of a man along the Columbia River, and are now seeking help in identifying him.
The Wahkiakum County Coroner’s Office says the remains belong to a middle-aged man who likely has been dead two or more years.
The Daily News of Longview says the man appears to have been dressed for the outdoors. A resident spotted the remains Friday. Sheriff’s deputies and the coroner’s office later recovered the remains.
Coroner Dan Bigelow says it is unlikely authorities will determine a cause of death because so much time has passed.
