LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) - A La Crosse man is facing criminal charges on accusations of calling 911 dozens of times in two hours.

Police say the man called emergency dispatchers 46 times from three different phone numbers. Authorities say some of the calls were silent with music in the background. Other calls asked police to respond to his apartment.

When officers arrived, the man refused to let them in and was given a ticket. The calls continued after officers left, so police went back and arrested the man last Saturday.
