WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) - Summer training exercises for cadets are beginning at West Point.

Cadets will practice artillery firing, aviation operations, demolitions, survival skills and more as they prepare to become Army officers.

The U.S. Military Academy is telling local residents they might hear some noise during exercises like the air assault school in June.

The training lasts until mid-August.
